My work focuses on adults, children, and families. I utilize an integrative approach, which combines deep insight-oriented work with practical skills-building. Adult clients are often motivated to enter therapy by emotional challenges or difficulties in relationships. Children typically present with behavioral or emotional concerns — they may be depressed, withdrawn, angry, defiant, or underachieving — and are brought into therapy by a concerned caregiver. Therapy with children is very different from therapy with adults and requires an approach that is engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate.
With adults, I utilize psychodynamic psychotherapy grounded in attachment theory, with attention to how early relational experiences shape current emotional functioning and interpersonal patterns. For children, I integrate experiential play, CBT, DBT, and PCIT, depending on developmental level and presenting concerns.
