Anger is a natural basic human emotion that is often used to express negative feelings. We believe that anger is a secondary emotion, usually a reaction to underlying emotions such as frustration, hurt, loss, or disrespect. Road rage, violent behavior, verbal abuse, aggression, intimidation, and lack of empathy, are examples of issues that benefit from anger management. The goal of our program is to teach people to identify, understand and defuse their own anger by learning healthy expressions of anger that are acceptable to society, so that violence and self-destructive behavior can be avoided.
