As for my work with individuals, the process of healing, personal growth and self discovery is a valuable journey for people/families of all types, and for each youth or family this may look different. I am a licensed mental health and addiction counselor with certifications in treatment of complex trauma, suicide, addiction and crisis intervention in adolescents and adults. My focus are symptoms of self harm, suicidality, depression, anxiety and substance use. I am trained in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (Dr. Bruce Perry) to carry out brain mapping in treatment of trauma and neglect. I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese fluently.

My practice is centered on helping athletes, coaches and their families navigate mental health and performance issues. I approach counseling from a guiding perspective. You hold the answers you're looking for, but sometimes there are things blocking us from being able to tap into these answers. Together we work on navigating these issues and finding clarity, peace, and healing. Some of my hobbies are: snowboarding, fishing, camping, spending time with my family, and jiu jitsu!

Trauma and adversity can get us stuck in harmful beliefs and habits that – while useful for survival – may not serve us in healthy relationships and a safe environment. I recognize that creating a safe, non-judgmental space to identify and process the complexities of trauma and being human is essential for healing and growth. You are not your trauma, and your trauma does not need to define what your life looks like.

Because relationship is key to therapeutic progress, finding the right person to journey through these struggles with you is vital. I work from a strengths-based, solution focused, holistic orientation. I partner with people from all different ages, stages, and backgrounds to help them work through a wide variety of life’s challenges. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, compassion fatigue, relationships, family issues, life stress, and challenges of parenting. I offer online therapy in all states where I am licensed, but can only accept Colorado insurance coverage.

My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by the demands of work and parenting. You might be struggling with burnout, stress, and your relationships. You need support, coping strategies, self-exploration, a confidence boost, and tools for growth. You want to create work-life harmony, reduce stress and anxiety, cultivate self-awareness, build resilience, and create authentic and meaningful connections. Maybe you want to break free from the cycle of overwhelm, stress, and self-doubt that has been holding you back, to empower yourself to live a more fulfilling, balanced, and authentic life.

When therapy works best, it's a collaboration between you and your therapist to discover how to make your best choices in life. My hope is to help you learn about YOU and what makes life fulfilling to you and then how to go for it! Therapy can help you change course when you keep making choices that don't make you happy. I help my clients learn to understand how their personal history and relationship patterns affect their decisions and overall wellness. Whether it's just to have someone truly listen or if it's to learn some specific skills to make different choices in life, I will provide a safe space for you to grow and heal.

I am an LMFT & Certified Sensorimotor Therapist. I operate from a psychobiological approach to treat & heal trauma, depression, anxiety, stress disorders, relationship distress, & "stuck" patterns. Through collaboration, compassion, creative interventions, science, and a little humor - we will utilize mindfulness & body-centered therapies to create a new & intentional personal narrative that supports your vibrancy & full potential. My practice, Pure Potential, employs clinicians who work with individuals (15+), couples, & families. Our clinicians meet in person & virtually AND can provide services in English & Spanish.

I am passionate about creating a safe place for you to experience healing as you struggle with some of life’s most difficult challenges. My experience has taught me that therapy is most effective when it is relational versus transactional; and collaborative versus prescriptive. Education and transparency are two very important values that inform my approach to your healing. Emotional pain can be the most stifling and difficult pain to endure, yet it can also be the catalyst for tremendous growth and insight. I specialize in helping clients of all ages who are struggling with trauma, complex trauma, depression, stress, self-esteem and interpersonal difficulties. My ideal client is one who is ready to be free from the impact of trauma, be it old or recent trauma, and is desiring growth and healing within themselves and their relationships. I also enjoy working with clients who are interested in looking at their issues through the lens of their spirituality.

Everyone knows relationships take work. But what does that really mean? We'll work on things like: How do both of you feel in your relationship? Do you deeply understand and effectively communicate each other's thoughts, feelings, and needs? I have been married over 30 years and have three grown children. I understand the challenges couples must navigate and how they can get stuck in negative cycles. My approach is to help you recognize and change the patterns that keep you stuck and support you to reach out to each other in ways that bring you closer. I also specialize in helping couples and families heal from addictions.

Have you tried traditional talk therapy and still need something more? I work with people who want a different approach. I utilize nature, play, energy, and animal-assisted therapy to help support the healing journey. Clients come seeking support for various reasons but I specialize in trauma and attachment, parenting for children who are struggling, empowerment and self-esteem. Using methods like expressive arts, yoga, partnering with nature and animals, healing happens emotionally, spiritually, cognitively and physically. I have a laid back style and you will often find me dressed in sweats or yoga pants.

Staring at the slow monotonous drip of the office coffee maker, you realize your life is slipping away one day at a time. Hopelessness and the overwhelm of motherhood is settling into your bones. Your days are a blur, what day even is it? You’re exhausted. You are drowning in laundry, appointments for your child, and no time for yourself. Feeling like you don't know who you are anymore. Are you more than a mother? Praying that you don't feel like a terrible mother at the end of the day. Praying that you aren't messing up your children one moment at a time. Praying that your spouse will understand how badly you need a break one day.

I specialize with Children, Adolescents, Families and Parent Education, as well as young adult females (18-25), and post-divorce support for women. I have extensive experience with at-risk & foster youth, adoption, child abuse, self harm and suicide, and divorced and blended families. I also work with females to help them transition into young adulthood. My workshops include: Let's Talk about the Barbie movie (for 10-12 year old girls), Mothers & Daughter Wellness, Empowering Women Post-Divorce, Writing a new story for your life (women 20+), Setting Boundaries with friends & dating. Dealing with overwhelming and anxious thoughts.
