I tend to have a trauma focused approach, which is to say that I specialize in treating humans. I believe it is essential to pay attention to the mind and body as a unified whole ;my goals are to work with patients to achieve their full potential and wellbeing. I have expertise in prescribing medications, but see them as only one part of the larger picture.

I firmly believe in the therapeutic value of trusting and respectful relationship with my patient. With a holistic, non-judgmental and gentle approach, I focus my efforts on getting to understand the patient prior to formulating a treatment plan. My approach is thorough, exploring a patient's biological, psychological and social factors before determining the next best step, which may or may not include medications. I treat all adult mental health illnesses with a special interest in women's mental health, including those patients who are pregnant and postpartum.
