I firmly believe in the therapeutic value of trusting and respectful relationship with my patient. With a holistic, non-judgmental and gentle approach, I focus my efforts on getting to understand the patient prior to formulating a treatment plan. My approach is thorough, exploring a patient's biological, psychological and social factors before determining the next best step, which may or may not include medications. I treat all adult mental health illnesses with a special interest in women's mental health, including those patients who are pregnant and postpartum. I have expertise in working with patients of all cultures who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, substance abuse and trauma. I strive to improve the quality of life for patients suffering from serious medical illnesses, such as malignancies, fibromyalgia and heart disease.
My practice consists of only a small number of patients with whom I work closely. So that my patients and I can work together to best structure treatment without the limitations and constraints imposed by insurance, I do not accept insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider.
