She attended Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy in Ukraine where she received her M.D., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Psychiatry. Dr. Tarnavsky has completed her residency at Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program in MA where she was elected Chief Resident.

She has been in Emergency Medicine for 10 years, and also works as a Neurology Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Lisa Hagberg is a board-certified psychiatrist with 20 years of experience treating patients with a wide range of diagnoses, in particular, depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder and PTSD. Dr. Hagberg brings a holistic approach to her practice exploring mental health in a multidimensional way, addressing the causes, not just the symptoms of one's condition. She incorporates supportive and insight-oriented psychotherapy to patient care, although at times she may recommend patients add an individual therapist to the treatment team.
