Especially in recent months, many individuals are struggling to find stability and ways to stay grounded while trying to live their lives. Constant stressors in our work and home environments exacerbate an individual's depression, anxiety and past trauma, which can interfere with our ability to function and enjoy our lives. I believe everyone has a personal vision of what will bring them the happiest and healthiest life. Using a holistic approach, I work to build a partnership with individuals. Together, we can learn to recognize and build innate strengths, and resilience.
I have been a nurse for 30 years and have been practicing as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for the past 16 years. By using assessment tools, getting to know a person, their history and current life situation, I can offer sound psychiatric care. This may include psycho-therapy, education and medication therapy.
I look forward to working with individuals and becoming part of their support system. I believe that we, as humans need be in touch with our mental health and have the knowledge to live our healthiest life. ‘No man is an island’ and there are times in our lives we need the assistance of others, including friends, family and professional services.
