Mental health is not one glove fits all. We each have our unique backgrounds, stories, lifestyles, struggles, beliefs, and sources of joy. It is my mission to offer you a safe space where you can genuinely express and be seen as your whole self; and not just as a quick diagnosis and prescription. I help high-functioning individuals better understand their mental health and progress further in their lives. My clients have included doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers, lawyers, teachers, diversity and inclusion program directors, engineers, tech specialists, artists, musicians, CEOs, community leaders, parents and more.

I am a psychiatrist/psychoanalyst with an interest in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, Relational Psychoanalysis, psychiatric diagnosis, and the impact of anxiety on self-esteem, relational issues, and overall well-being of children, adolescents, and adults. In addition, I have extensive experience treating and supervising others who treate people suffering from narcissism, trauma, dissociation, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I primarily offer weekly to more intensive psychoanalytic treatment. I mostly prescribe medications to help patients feel good enough to engage more fully in their lives and psychotherapy.

Bio I am a board-certified Stanford trained adult psychiatrist in practice for over 35 years. I provide compassionate, empathic and knowledge based care. Together, we will gain insight and knowledge about you and where your strengths and conflicts may be. I am a board certified psychiatrist and I specialize in psychotherapy with adults. I also prescribe medication, when indicated, either in combination with psychotherapy or alone. I work with people with a wide variety of symptoms for coming to see a psychiatrist. Every person is unique. I have worked with people from many different backgrounds, including the sports world, the entertainment industry, business, teaching, students, parenting and other settings. He graduated medical school from UT Southwestern, and completed psychiatry residency training as Chief Resident from Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Dr. Lazcano is an adult general psychiatrist who has been overseeing a South Bay Los Angeles private practice since 2018. In addition to offering both in-person and virtual sessions, Dr. Lazcano creates content on social media to help his audience members achieve lives with less stress.
