I'll work with you to establish rapport based on understanding and good communication. I can help you to find more satisfaction in your relationships, cope with losses, and sort out who you are and who you want to become.
When I work with clients, I conceptualize the mental and physical health of my clients as interconnected and interdependent. Balancing the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing of each of my clients in relationship to others and within community is essential for whole-being health and holistic healing. I work with individuals who are willing to take an active role in their health and recovery, to not just survive but to thrive in living more fully, reaching their goals and fullest potentials in life.

Dr. El-Asyouty believes it’s important to not confuse the person with their illness. Alcoholism, substance abuse and chemical dependency are all diseases that affect the nervous system resulting in a loss of control over the use of substances. Dr. El-Asyouty is aware of the need to be very careful about using addictive medications in patients who are in recovery from addiction. Additionally, it is also important to recognize that people who are in recovery from depression and anxiety usually also require a change in the way that the individual processes feeling information, which Dr. El-Asyouty provides in a training program.

Change your brain, change your life. I'm a board-certified, integrative pediatric and adult psychiatrist. I work with people interested in targetting root causes of suffering as much as possible. We know that for many, the roots can be psychological and in brain connections/wiring. New therapies allow us to target both of these more than ever.: Neurofeedback, TMS, Genetic and EEG markers that can personalize lifestyle, supplement and medication treatment. When properly used, ketamine and MDMA are known to dramatically augment psychotherapy. (MDMA is not yet legal, but is on it's way).
Are you ready to think outside the box when it comes to your mental health? There are many tools that can be used to help improve your mental health, and medication is only one of them. I will take the time necessary to assess your history, patterns of illness, symptoms, and how you live your life. I will help you identify your strengths, and together we will develop a plan of care that is unique to you and your needs.

Patients come to see me when they experience emotional pain and need help figuring out how to improve their lives as part of a quest to feel better. Sometimes a problem has built up over time and reaches a saturation point. It may relate to work or school, to a love or family relationship, or to something completely unexpected--a layoff, breakup, accident, sudden illness or even a death--that uncovers a long neglected area of development.
