It is not uncommon for us feel lost, judged and stigmatized when we are anxious, depressed, traumatized or have any other mental health symptoms, more so when we have concerns regarding recreational drug use. We offer patient centered and nonjudgmental care and treatment. Science based medication management is offered as well, with great emphasis on therapy. We treat various mental illnesses like ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar, OCD and PMDD. We have worked with patients with various forms of addiction, like tobacco, opioids, benzodiazepines, alcohol, methamphetamines, and other addictive behaviors.

I would rather teach a skill than prescribe a pill, but I will. In other words, if you or someone you know is on or in need of psychiatric medications, yet would prefer to explore other ways to address their current circumstances, my practice is a great fit. This may include those who have tried multiple medications in the past and have had less then optimal success, found that they are very sensitive to medication effects, or wish to explore alternatives such as; learning mind/emotion/stress management skills, herbal or supplement alternatives (orthomolecular medicine), and spiritual practices to support their healing process.

The practice is geared towards teens and young adults with Anxiety and Depression. My approach is to provide specialized support with cognitive and behavioral therapy along with medication as needed to my patients.

I believe in collaborating with my patients to understand their mental health needs using a four-part model:- the life story: where the patient is in her/his life, family history and upbringing- the personality: who she/he is as a person- the behavior: what coping methods does she/he employ to manage stressors and psychologic- the illness:  the symptoms that brought her/him to seek help.

Dr. Kelly is a Board Certified General Psychiatrist, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and Psychopharmacologist. After completing his training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and directing their Residency Training Program, he moved back to Los Angeles and is currently a professor with UCLA. Due to high demand for his individualized services, he now also sees outpatients in two locations, Manhattan Beach and Beverly Hills. Dr. Kelly has multiple areas of focus in which he may be of particular help.

Elio Pedroso Conroy, MD, located in Napa Valley, is a board-certified Adult Psychiatrist licensed in California. Dr. Conroy attended medical school in Brazil, where he is originally from. He practiced as a generalist physician for a few years in his home country strengthening his foundation in general medicine. After that, he moved to the USA and completed his psychiatry residency at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, Washington DC.
