Welcome. I’m Dr. Luis Gonzalez, a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience in treating ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, thought disorders, and personality disorders among others. I have experience with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds including undergraduates, U.S. veterans, and working professionals. Whether you're curious about medications or seeking ongoing management, I look forward to working with you on your journey toward achieving your mental health goals.
Although I primarily offer medication management services, I have a background in mindfulness and developmentally focused psychodynamic theory. I am comfortable with topics of racial, cultural and gender-identity-related trauma. I am experienced in exploring concepts of meaning and self-worth, societal expectations, and unlearning unhelpful trauma responses.
I was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Orlando, FL. I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at Yale University. I completed my medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I then completed training in psychiatry at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and the West LA Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
