I am a dual certified family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner offering medication management, diagnostic services, and evidence-based treatment plans. I see individuals starting at age 0-65 years old (babies, young children, adolescents, and adults). Although I do not prescribe medication for children under the age of 7, I do perform psychiatric evaluations, provide environmental and behavioral modification treatment plans, and provide parents with tools for young children with complexities. I incorporate family dynamics into my planning. I am a proponent of early intervention for concerns of adaptability. I also prioritize long-term cognitive and memory health and enjoy working with older adults as well.

I am empathetic and highly skilled at treating individuals with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions such as gambling, sex and eating disorders. I understand the prevalence of trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders in patients recovering from substance and/or behavioral addictions, thus I accept patients with dual or multiple diagnoses. Of specific interest to me is working with licensed professionals who have addiction treatment needs. I provide education, intervention, assessment, treatment support, monitoring, and/or relapse prevention to professionals whose licensing and/or ability to practice is at stake.

Dr. Mark Chofla is a board-certified psychiatrist and physician who completed his specialty residency training at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis, Dr. Chofla earned his medical degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
