You're single, and haven't found your soulmate, or you're in a committed relationship that's impossible. You're depressed, anxious, and have low self-esteem. You or your family has suffered through a historical trauma and you still feel like a victim. You've been trying to conceive, and nature or your partner is uncooperative. You've lost your sense of how to cope and move forward.
If any of these concerns are holding you back from realizing your potential or expressing your creative talents, then perhaps it's time to receive some insight, support and hope from a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with 35 years of experience.
I'm the pioneer scholar of intergenerational consequences of historical traumas such as those suffered by Holocaust survivors, Native Americans, Cambodians, Armenians, and African Americans. I started the first therapy group for children of Holocaust survivors in 1976 and organized the first conference on the topic in 1979. I train and supervise professionals in the US and abroad.
I specialize in treating couples in seemingly impossible relationships, as well as those with fertility struggles and multi-generational family businesses. I work with patients to help reduce anxiety, alleviate depression, find a satisfying, secure professional life, and enhance self-esteem and decision-making abilities.
