I am a DIR/Floortime based therapist working with families with ASD and related sensory-affect and social-pragmatic language/communication challenges. At each stage I help you to begin to understand and cultivate your child's core Functional Emotional Developmental capacities. This includes learning to join in and attribute purpose and meaning to how your child is navigating his world; engaging your child in complex back and forth social-emotional-problem solving interactions with gestures and words; symbolic/pretend play sequences, peer relationships and full social-pragmatic language/communication. 75 Minute sessions in your home.
DIR/Floortime is a fully evidence-based treatment approach that addresses not your child's, "surface behaviors" or tasks but your child's core underlying Functional Emotional Developmental capacities. These are critical for your child to be able to maintain continuous back and forth reciprocal emotional-social engagement and social-pragmatic language.

DIR/Floortime for Families
Group workshops with respect to addressing individual parental challenges on how to understand and engage your child’s functional-emotional developmental capacities and individual sensory processing differences during moderate to extreme states of hyperarousal (over-responsivity) or hypoarousal (under-responsivity) and more often mixed responsivities across all functional-emotional developmental levels and processing domains. This will include family training sessions on how to understand and address, “behaviors” as not just what is happening on the surface but how to begin to more comprehensively understand and engage the stressors and anxieties beneath in order to maintain and deepen two-way reciprocal attachment, attunement, relating and communicating.
