Life can be difficult and at times we may need to seek professional help, this is where I can assist. I work with a holistic and Person-centred approach, incorporating therapy interventions when needed. Within counselling sessions, I assist clients to utilise their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. I provide empathy and warmth which creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can process and heal. I strive to be a source of motivation for clients to take manageable steps toward bringing about understanding, healing, meaning, and a stronger sense of self.

If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma or life direction, I believe my therapeutic experience can help you. I firmly believe that when we transform our relationship with ourselves we help reconstruct our relationship to the world around us. My goal is to support you in creating new choices established in the present rather than the past and gently guide you to a place of self care rather than self criticism.

I strive to create a compassionate, safe, and non-judgemental therapeutic environment where individuals can explore their inner selves, gain self-awareness, and tap into their inner wisdom and ultimately make changes to live the life they deserve with authenticity and to improve their health and well-being. Reaching out for support in times of difficulty is courageous and making the initial contact can be the hardest step of counselling.

Anne Marie is an experienced psychotherapist who works with individuals when they are struggling, to help them find the source of their suffering. She helps individuals to find solutions to their problems by creating a safe space where they can untangle their thoughts and process their feelings. Some of these thoughts or feelings can restrict a persons life and keep them feeling stuck. Identifying what keeps a person stuck or drains them is the first step in a process that enables individuals to become unblocked so that they can move forward and live the life they want to live.

I am an Irish psychotherapist working with clients on either a short term or long-term basis depending on their needs. My approach to treatment is very much guided by the client. I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all form of therapy. I am here to assist whether you are feeling the need for a journey of transformation, for balance in the middle of chaos, or for a connection between your body, mind, and soul. I believe that healing is always possible. Let's work together to rewrite your story, overcome obstacles, and bring about long-lasting, beneficial change. Take the first step toward positive change and get in touch.

Martina is a humanistic integrative Psychotherapist who works with a person centred approach. Martina trained with Flatstone Institute and graduated in 2018. She works using different theories depending on what you the client needs.Martina a spiritual sense within her work as it helps understand that we are all individuals and no two clients will need the exact same therapy. Martina also enjoys using art or music in the therapy room which I feel helps when there are no words for how you are feeling. Meditation is also something used within her practice. Martina now added couples therapy to her vast experience with client work.

My name is Olive, and I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I believe Counselling / Psychotherapy is a very empowering journey to discover our True Self. We can be very self-critical with ourselves, through negative self-talk, guilt and criticism. My goal is to help my client work through their issues, and reach a place of self-acceptance, and contentment. My Therapeutic Approach is adapted to each individual person, as everyone has different life experiences, and reacts differently to life’s events. I work with what best suits the person in front of me, and their presenting issues.

Offering Face to Face and Online therapy. One can present with an issue affecting their contentment in life, but what’s causing it? My approach is a Psychodynamic and Integrative one. Anxiety for example, may be a presenting issue, but what’s causing it? Depression is debilitating, but what’s being depressed? Trauma and coping mechanisms go hand in hand and are as individual as each and every one of us. An issue can be a symptom of something else, or a coping mechanism we have had for years. Through your own process, you will arrive at the root cause creating permanent change and be set free to more contentment.

Hoarding Counsellors

What is the most effective treatment for hoarding?

Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) has been well-studied in the treatment of hoarding. This type of therapy includes changing beliefs surrounding possessions, as well as learning how to discard items and reduce acquisitions. The hoarder may also gain much-needed organizational skills. Another useful therapy may be compassion-focused therapy, which can address emotion regulation and negative self-perception.

How long does therapy for hoarding take?

Although treatment can vary, most people demonstrate improvement after 23 sessions, with some showing improvement after just a few sessions. Researchers have developed a 26-session cognitive behavioral program. People who hoard may need “maintenance” sessions over the years if the problem arises repeatedly.

Are there medications for hoarding?

The more commonly-prescribed medications for hoarding are including antidepressants, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). This can include drugs such as venlafaxine and paroxetine. And because hoarding disorder is related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, medications for OCD, such as clomipramine, may be effective for hoarding as well.

Can hoarding come back after treatment?

Hoarding is a chronic disorder and it can last throughout an individual’s lifetime. Regularly checking in with a psychotherapist can help manage symptoms long-term. A good therapist will help the person learn needed skills including decision-making, organization, and stress reduction. The patient will gain a better perspective and the need to cling to useless items will lessen.
