I am an integrative practitioner, meaning I am able to draw on my knowledge of humanistic approaches (person-centred), cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches to help reduce psychological distress. I help to understand how client psychological issues developed, what is maintaining them and how they can overcome them. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where clients can feel able to explore their difficulties in depth and where they can begin to increase their self-awareness in order to bring change.
I am a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and a BACP-accredited Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I have been a therapist for over 14 years, working for a number of different services as a Psychotherapist and Supervisor.
I have worked with adults, teenagers and groups, including people with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties within a variety of NHS and private settings. I have experience of working with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
