Jon Mills, Psy.D., Ph.D., ABPP, is a Canadian philosopher, psychoanalyst, and clinical psychologist. He is an honorary professor in the Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex, United Kingdom; Faculty in the postgraduate programs in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology, Adelphi University, New York; Faculty and supervising analyst at the New School for Existential Psychoanalysis, California; and is an emeritus professor of psychology and psychoanalysis at Adler Graduate Professional School, Toronto, Canada, where he taught for over 20 years. Recipient of numerous awards for his scholarship, including five Gradiva Awards, he is the author and/or editor of 35 books and over 200 academic articles in philosophy, psychoanalysis, psychology, and cultural studies. Dr. Mills is a scholar, teacher, cultural critic, and author who maintains an active writing schedule, and lectures widely worldwide. In 2015, he received the Otto Weininger Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement given by the Canadian Psychological Association. His most recent book is End of the World: Civilization and Its Fate.
