G.A. Bradshaw, Ph.D., Ph.D., is executive director of The Kerulos Center. Her work focuses on human-animal relationships and trauma recovery of species that include elephants, grizzly bears, tortoises, chimpanzees, and parrots. Bradshaw is the author of Carnivore Minds: Who These Fearsome Animals Really Are (Yale, 2017) and Elephants on the Edge: What Animals Teach Us about Humanity (Yale, 2009), an in-depth psychological portrait of elephants in captivity and in the wild. Bradshaw holds a Ph.D. in ecology and a Ph.D. in psychology.
