IOP Services provides intensive group therapy to adults. We are the an independent, clinician owned mental health IOP in North Carolina. We do not provide care to individuals whose primary current problem is a substance abuse disorder. There are many options for their care. IOP provides intensive therapy 3 hours per day, 3 days a week. Group therapy is the foundation of IOP. Group has been well established as an effective treatment approach for 80 years. The interpersonal experience of group is supplemented and enriched with instructional material, psychiatric education and a variety of evidenced based approaches. Most clients continue their regular individual therapy schedule while in IOP. Enrollment is not determined by a diagnosis but rather by how problems are interfering in your life. Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, is a private psychiatric hospital located on a beautiful campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Old Vineyard specializes in inpatient treatment for adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Adult specialty inpatient programs include Dual Diagnosis (SUD), Trauma Recovery, Mood Disorders and Seniors. In March of 2022 we opened an evening virtual Intensive Outpatient program for youth ages 12-17. Carolina House offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Raleigh, North Carolina, for people age 17 and older of all genders who are struggling with anorexia, bulimia, and other eating disorders. At our outpatient treatment center, clients can receive care while still fulfilling their daily responsibilities, such as attending school or work. Clients can enter outpatient care directly or transition to treatment from a more intensive level of care. Typically, the duration of our IOP is 30-60 days, and clients participate in three-hour treatment sessions five days a week. We offer a range of diverse services in our IOP, including individual, family, group, and experiential therapies that are led by highly trained eating disorder treatment specialists. Our therapies are informed by dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to meet the unique needs of each person. In group therapy, discussions may cover topics such as nutrition education, healthy coping skills, body image acceptance, and relapse prevention strategies.

Once a person has become addicted to heroin, morphine, prescription painkillers, or another opioid, it can be extremely difficult to stop using these dangerous drugs. One reason why people have such trouble achieving recovery on their own is that opioid withdrawal can include intense cravings, physical pain, and psychological distress. But when an adult receives care at North Wilkesboro Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), they benefit from a time-tested, research-supported approach to treatment that combines prescription medication and counseling. This approach, which is known as medication-assisted treatment (MAT), can help people end their opioid use and build a foundation for long-term recovery from opioid addiction. The medication component of MAT can ease the symptoms of opioid withdrawal so that people can complete the detox process with limited discomfort. During counseling, our patients work with experienced professionals to make the behavioral changes that can help them resist future urges to abuse opioids or other addictive substances.
