Gould Farm is a therapeutic community dedicated to helping adults with mental illness move toward recovery, health and greater independence through community living, meaningful work and individual clinical care. In a supportive community environment made up of residents, staff and their families, we help adults with depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder and schizophrenia begin to rebuild and regain their lives. Gould Farm offers a full continuum of care, with programs in the Berkshires and the Boston area for those ready for new challenges and structured transition.

Spring Lake Ranch is a long term residential program (6 mos.+) for adults who struggle with mental health and often, co-occurring addiction issues. We are not a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. Applicants with substance use issues must have at least 30 days clean and sober to be admitted and must be able to agree to stay clean and sober throughout our program. The Ranch is a private-pay facility, which does not accept insurance. There is some financial assistance available based on need.

Back2Basics combines addiction treatment program therapeutic counseling with experiential outdoor adventures to treat individuals with substance and alcohol addiction and lead them through rehab and recovery into long-term sober living. Individuals we typically work with have diagnoses of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or depression. Residents at Academy House have ranged in age from their mid-twenties to individuals over the age of 65. Some residents stay for a year or two while they work on learning symptom management and independent living skills, while other residents choose to remain at Academy House for many years. All of our residents are kind, empathetic, unique individuals with the potential for further growth and accomplishment.

Milestones follows a "blended" approach to treatment - addressing both the "addictive" and emotional aspects of an eating disorder. Residents attend a full schedule of group and individual activities during the day as well as participate in various support groups during evenings and weekends. Grocery shopping, meal preparation, and "real world" experiences are an integral part of the program. Unlike a traditional hospital environment, Milestones affords an opportunity to recover in a less restrictive setting while still receiving the support and structure necessary to overcome an eating disorder.
