Vista Taos Renewal Center has a combination of program characteristics that cannot be found at any other treatment facility and are the reason for our success in addiction treatment Our individual attention through our 20 person capacity provides an interpersonal experience that serves as the foundation for the fellowship, sponsorship, and trust involved in twelve step program success. Our week-long family program is designed to provide education, awareness, and insight into addiction and codependency and their impact on the family. The involvement and participation of family members, spouses, and partners during family week has long been a factor in patient success Our holistic approach to treating our patients works daily on the strengthening of the mind, body, sprit, and emotions. Vista Taos Renewal Center's holistic treatment curriculum begins to address the effect of chemical dependency all aspects the self which is found to be a crucial part of patient success.

Our Primary Residential Program

At Vista Taos Renewal Center, our Primary Residential Program participants make a 30-day minimum commitment. Our suggested stay is 60-90 days, the amount of time necessary to achieve the essential goals of the program. Participant confidentiality is strictly protected. We provide a bed and breakfast style setting with quiet, comfortable, semi-private rooms, each with a private bath and an exterior door to a private patio area. Through our accommodations combined with the daily guidance and support of our staff, each person begins the journey to restoration and wholeness. During the course of treatment, clients participate in the following processes: Medically Supervised Detoxification Individual Therapy Group Therapy Family Program Psycho-educational Lectures Relapse Prevention Education Co-dependency Therapy Art Therapy Vista Taos Renewal Center realizes that addiction affects all aspects of the self. Our curriculum is designed to strengthen the mind, body, spirit and emotions. Clients are introduced to a variety of holistic therapies so they may find which will work best in supporting their recovery.

Our Family Program

The Family Program at Vista Taos Renewal Center was created to support and enhance recovery success by providing family members and signification others, opportunities to gain awareness, insight, and healing for themselves. Families actively participate in our program exploring issues such as effective communication, healthy boundaries, forgiveness, and reconciliation. We strongly encourage loved ones to attend our week-long program to increase their understanding of the disease of addiction and codependency. We work to insure our program participants understand clearly how family dynamics influence the addiction process and the overall health of each family member. We also introduce family participants to Al-Anon & other twelve-step support groups. Our Staff is committed to helping every individual establish the foundation for sustainable recovery. Completing treatment is the first step in the recovery process. Therapists work with participants and referents to create a personalized aftercare plan. Referrals are made in the participant's home community along with recommendations for 12-step meetings and additional support systems to assist our graduates on their path to wellness.
