Some folks have mental health struggles such as anxiety or depression and therefore come to therapy for treatment and help. Others come to therapy for other life problems such as relationship problems, stressful work environments, worries about their future or their kids, struggles with their faith and spirituality, or grief and loss, etc. Counseling is an investment in the betterment of your life.

I specialize in guiding individuals through trauma, transition, and transformation. My mission is to help people empower themselves and promote their well-being by providing a nurturing and safe environment for strength-based, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and compassionate counseling. Together, we will draw from a range of techniques and collaborate to find the best approach for you. This may include traditional talk therapy, as well as other forms of therapy such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and mindfulness practice.

My belief is that counseling is most effective when taking a collaborative and holistic approach. Every individual is unique in their needs and the time it takes to address them. I strive to create a strong, therapeutic relationship that is built on trust, respect, responsibility, empathy, attentiveness, and open-mindedness through communication. Attachment and trauma are my specialties. I work with clients that are struggling in their relationships (family, friends, romantic, etc.) and/or struggling with past or recent truama. I aim at helping client's explore their life's journey and see how the past is currently influencing the present. When growing up, we all needed to feel seen, soothed, safe, and secure by are caregivers, but many of our caregivers/parents, being human, fell short of their capacity to do so. I work with clients to help them see how their own family dynamics while growing up has influenced what they experience in the present day.
