As a Clinical Psychologist, I am passionate about helping my patients gain insight about their mental and emotional strengths and vulnerabilities through an objective and comprehensive evaluation by using standardized measures. Once all the information is gathered, I will offer extensive feedback regarding the results and make recommendations to help you or your child get the treatments or services needed. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I aim to provide a warm, welcoming environment focusing on my relationship with my client. I believe the individual is the expert about themselves, and my role is to help facilitate their journey towards their goals. My primary areas of specialization are in working with children and adolescents and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, child abuse, depression, grief, anger, trauma, abuse, sexual identity, parent/peer conflict, and transitional issues.

I meet with individuals, couples, families, and run groups. I generally work with folks who complain of depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress management, anger management, trauma/PTSD, interpersonal conflict, parenting challenges, spiritual challenges, frustration tolerance, and some health challenges to include nicotine addiction. I also provide in-home nursing-aid care, DD respite care, and tutoring. A client is encouraged to boldly explore their own thoughts and emotions in a safe, warm and collaborative therapeutic environment and find new solutions, skills, insight and awareness around life's challenges, both within the person and the persons' life experience

Hello! I am Rachel, an individual and family therapist and licensed independent clinical social worker. I work with teens and adults, offering both individual and family therapy. I specialize in working with clients who have anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD, autism, and depression. I also support clients experiencing phobias, OCD, grief/loss, and trauma. I partner with clients seeking to strengthen their stress/coping skills, relationships, communication skills, boundaries/self-care, and esteem/self-acceptance. I welcome LGBTQ+ identifying clients. I have taught meditation for 30 years, for those who would like to learn in-session.

Founded on the principles of positive psychology, my strength-based, solution-focused counseling model consists of three phases: (1) Clarification of the problem the client wants to resolve; (2) Identification of the solution to the client’s problem; and (3) implementation of solution-strategies to create positive changes.

I have been a child and family therapist since 2009, and volunteered in the field of grief and loss for 14 years, working with grieving children (ages 3 to 18) who lost a loved one. I'm client-centered and strengths-based, and believe my job is to try to understand how my client's brain works, to best assist each individual understand her/ himself. I have learned from the last 9 years working with a wide variety of amazing individuals that I must be very creative and flexible. I'm grateful for how much I have and continue to learn from my clients.
