Our lives are in chaotic transition. It takes strength to seek guidance through therapeutic relationships that create harmony and balance. My counseling philosophy is person-centered, individualized to meet client needs as we develop goals to create new opportunities for success. I focus on clients with food addiction, binge eating, depression, anxiety, body image, self-esteem and interventions for major life changing events. I counsel clients in all aspects of mental health issues, especially those who struggle with anxiety, depression, obesity and weight. I am passionate about helping clients.

Emotional/behavioral problems are a part of life and can affect any human being regardless of age, race, social status. Life brings tremendous challenges to all of us and it takes strength to confront them and improve the quality of our life. We can't change our past but we can change our relationship to it. I am partnered up with a physician board certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine to provide comprehensive treatment if medication is needed.

I have over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including private practice, residential, outpatient, in-home, and addictions. There are various times in our lives that are challenging and taking the first step to asks for help can feel overwhelming. I have experience working with individuals, and couples ranging in age from preteen to adulthood in many areas of need such as depression, mood instability, substance use, anxiety, history of trauma, and family/relationships conflicts.

As a therapist, I have much to offer. My many varied years of professional experience as a clinical social worker, my excellent education, combined with my personal life experience serves me well. Together, we collaborate on a new trusted relationship built on safety that has the potential to aid your growth with whatever issue you choose to work on. I work especially well with children and adolescents and have a good foundation in play therapy, yet adults are often surprised that I can work equally well with their concerns. We can design an approach that works for you.

As an EMDR Certified therapist, I am client-focused and with with adolescents, teenagers, college students and adults. I will be a non judgmental sounding board for all of your challenges. In 2015 the agency was purchased and took on new ownership and we became Woodbridge Therapy Group. With the recent change in ownership, we have expanded our number of providers, added more services, and renewed our investment in the community.
