For me it comes down to living POWERFULLY by accepting full responsibility for our lives. In that comes freedom. Freedom from addiction and compulsion. Freedom from self hate. Freedom from toxic relationships. Freedom to "respond" rather than "react". Freedom to live in accordance with our OWN values such that, at the end of the day, we're good with ourselves. I'm inspired by such COURAGE on a regular basis. We've all got "stuff". At some point, the question is, "what're we gonna DO about it?" It's a great privilege to do this work. Note: I am not in a position to provide crisis services.

A compassion based approach that honors and collaborates with your own, innate strengths and healing abilities. For some, the work may be learning new skills to better manage and enjoy the challenges of every-day life. For others, it may be the deeply spiritual work of learning to heal the parts of themselves that were wounded in the past.

Now, more than ever, do we need to take care of ourselves...and one another. Whether you are doing therapy for the first time, or the fifth time...you are doing. You are making a decision to not let the circumstances control you, but the exact opposite. You are making a decision to not just survive, but to thrive. Therapy can give you tools you never thought you would need, and perhaps never knew you had all along. Therapy can help you see the difference between things you can control, and things that can only be managed. Remember: you can't prevent the storm, but sometimes all you need...is one umbrella. It is my honor to help out.

Opening up and being vulnerable can be a challenge for all of us, especially as we begin to find ourselves. We all need someone in our corner cheering us on, who is also willing to shed light on our parts that may be holding us back. I am a clinician focused on embracing and celebrating who we are, while identifying areas for growth. There is no greater privilege than witnessing a client transform into someone who loves their authentic self. Adolescence and young adulthood are times for exploration and growth, I look forward to meeting each version of my clients.

I help those who are tired of feeling trapped, constantly living a step away from what they really need. If you want to reclaim your peace, rebuild your confidence, or feel like yourself again, reach out. My clients find renewed hope as they face strong feelings in a safe way, uncovering both hidden issues and hidden strengths. Due to low availability, I limit new cases to those with issues where I’ve brought the best results. Trauma survivors (both women and men) and women, specifically, who are dealing with other issues such as anxiety, mood, chronic pain, or the effects of narcissistic abuse.

I view therapy as a place for both the patient and the therapist to be real and authentic. Therapy can be a place where we come together to listen to and honor those parts of ourselves that we cut off. Over time, as we come to acknowledge and accept those parts of self that have been left behind, we can come to feel whole again. In this way, therapy does not eliminate every pain or problem, but it is a chance for reducing unnecessary suffering while being kind to ourselves in the face of the inherent struggles of life.

I see adolescents and adults for psychotherapy, consultation, and assessment. I also see younger patients for psychological testing and assessment. My therapeutic work is guided by the idea that psychological distress is often related to habitual ways of perceiving and interacting with the world--ways that have protected and helped in the past, but now get in the way of living a more satisfying, enjoyable, and meaningful life. I am practical but also value thoroughness and depth. Whether it is something quite specific or a vague feeling that something is wrong, I would love to be in your corner.

I understand how anxiety provoking meeting a new therapist can be and I do my utmost to provide treatment that is positive, compassionate, and respectful. I love working with people and helping them heal, learn, and grow. My experience is quite diverse. Over the past 20 years I have helped people struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, loss, past abuse, relationship struggle and much more. At times, life can simply be too stressful. We may face challenges which we never imagined and need help learning new ways to handle these challenges and stress.
