I have been working in the field of mental health, in various capacities for the past 34 years, and in private practice for 29 of those, including currently. I have had many years of trainings, and hold multiple certifications. I have worked in a variety of settings including foster care, community mental health, schools, and 5 years of work internationally in a multicultural setting. Michelle Valenciano Hemm LPC-S I believe that people have the ability to heal and are doing the best they can. I help clients clarify their goals and find the inner strength to face their issues. My particular strength lies in working with individuals who are dealing with trauma, substance abuse and mood disorders. My preference is to work with individuals ages 15 +. My strengths are working with women and girls but am not opposed to working with males who I find are a good fit with my approach.

We provide Individual and Couples Counseling, Sex Therapy, and Private Premarital Counseling services. The majority of clients that we see are couples and individuals experiencing personal and relationship difficulties, usually revolving around physical and sexual intimacy.
