Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 7+ years experience on inpatient psychiatry and in outpatient MH within hospital setting. Over the years, I've served countless individuals struggling with varying mental health symptoms. Each and every one of us has struggled through pain, trials, and tribulations and yet we are not always taught how to process and work through these experiences. Therapy allows you the space to learn these fundamental tools to help navigate the ups and downs in ways conducive to building a healthy, quality life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor in the greater Houston area who has worked in a variety of different arenas over the years within the field of social work. I have been married for over 20 years to my best friend and polar opposite which has increased my negotiation skills over the years. I am an animal lover and i specialize in helping individuals navigate through grief associated with the loss of a cherished pet. I live in the greater Houston area and I have had the opportunity to provide comfort and to empower individuals and help them identify their strengths and use them as steps towards towards recovery.

I recognize the significance of therapy as a vital instrument, not just for preventing and treating mental disorders but also for enhancing the overall quality of people's lives. With more than 15 years of experience as a licensed counselor in Brazil and two years as an LPC - Associate in Texas, I possess fluency in both Portuguese and English, enabling me to communicate adeptly with diverse populations. I strongly uphold the transformative potential of the therapeutic relationship, and my objective is to offer counseling that facilitates positive life changes for individuals.

Cheryl Clansy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), trained Mediator, and Life Coach with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Cheryl is passionate about helping adolescents, adults, and couples address their unique challenges, resolve conflicts, and live more fulfilled lives. She specializes in anxiety, grief, relationship issues, school issues, and major life transitions. Cheryl completed her doctoral degree at Grambling State University. She has professional experience in public education, postsecondary education, and the nonprofit sector.

My passion is to provide clinically excellent and distinctively Christian counseling for individuals who desire to incorporate spirituality within their therapeutic experience. I work with a wide variety of clients, including children & teens, individuals, and couples/families. Three groups of clients I especially enjoy working with are children & teens, women dealing with women's health issues (infertility, prenatal/postpartum issues, hormone imbalance, parenting, etc.), and providing support for pastoral health and sustainability in ministry for pastors, their wives, and their children.
