My name is Dana and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in this amazing field serving individuals much like yourself who are looking for insights, skills, tools, and support to optimize their lives. I aim to bring safety, curiosity, flexibility, and openness to this journey all in an effort to improve the wellbeing of my clients. I am particularly passionate about helping individuals find meaning out of chaotic, confusing and painful situations, especially those challenges arising from less than nurturing childhood experiences and other problematic dynamics.

Life can feel stressful, overwhelming, and out of control at times. I try to help life feel a little bit more manageable and work through issues at your own pace. Psychotherapy is about an exploration of self and the world around you. As a psychotherapist, I am here to provide guidance through this exploration in a safe place and to improve interaction with those you love.

I consider it a great privilege to walk alongside my clients through challenges in interpersonal relationships, phases of life transitions, cultural and generational conflicts, and other roadblocks that hinder acceptance, restoration, joy, and peace. I also facilitate healthy alliance and positive connection in the family system experiencing disruption and distress through our Wholehearted Family Program.

Despite our best efforts, sometimes it just doesn’t seem like life goes quite the way we planned. Family/relationship conflicts, worry about a child’s choices/behaviors, feelings of overwhelm/anxiety, grief/loss or a major life transition are often a part of our lives. And, unfortunately, sometimes these events are compounded by a lack of support or critic voices. Although it may not feel like it, I truly believe we are all doing the best we can in any given moment with the tools & information we have at that time and am passionate about supporting you in discovering your strengths and new strategies to create the changes you seek.

While my licensure type might imply, I work solely with couples or families, I have a great deal of experience working with individual clients, as well.
