Do you have a child or teen that is struggling at school, home, or in their social life? Do you wish they had a variety of resources that could help them manage their emotions and behaviors that are surfacing due to their perception of events and everyday struggles? I am an empathetic therapist that has a passion for working with children/teens who would benefit from a safe space that includes an open ear, respect, support, a different perspective, education, and guidance while working through traumatic experiences, committing to focus on their present self, and managing life hurdles.
As a counselor, educator, and mother, I understand the importance of positive role modeling, emotional support, mental and physical health, independence, social skills, and more. I love helping others identify their personal strengths, create plans to reach their desired goals, and help them see that they have what it takes to be whatever they want to be.
Together we will rebuild their self-esteem and I will teach them techniques that help them process & accept what they cannot control & commit to focusing on what they can. They will learn how to identify and manage feelings, rewire negative thinking, and how to control impulsivity. We will set ongoing life goals and practice resilience based techniques.
