I have been licensed as a therapist since 2013. Originally from Wisconsin I have lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado since 2017. I focus primarily in treating addictions, anxiety, depression, OCD, sleep issues, sports performance improvement and trauma (PTSD). When people seek out a therapist they often fall into two categories. The first being those who are seeking therapy for the first time. The second are people who have been in therapy before who are seeking a therapist who can help them heal permanently from whatever issue they are dealing with. That is my goal, to help people heal permanently and move forward in their lives.

As a seasoned psychotherapist/life coach, I believe in our innate healing potential and guide my clients to unlock their internal wisdom, resilience and resources for healing. Somatic (body-centered), mindfulness-based approaches to holistic coaching and therapy, allow me to integrate my clinical training while tuning into intuition to effectively guide the unfolding healing process of my clients. Trauma-informed, holistic coaching and therapy allows for greater capacity to rewire the brain, which can make the unconscious conscious and shift your automatic reactive patterns and outdated beliefs, helping you to live your best life.

I am a staff therapist at Peregrine Counseling, a non-profit group practice based in Aurora with a mission to make high-end therapy accessible. My training allows me to go beyond talk therapy and work with a wide range of contexts: complex medical conditions; complex or single trauma histories; sex, gender & relationship issues; a desire for enhanced creative, professional or sports performance; grief; practical support with changing habits or careers or negotiating life changes etc. I have training in addictions; I am certified in and now offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy and psychedelic integration.

Forrest has sat with elders in their dying process, helped chauffeur young adults through the existential turmoil, and attended to the many others needs for compassion, authenticity, and simple humanity that many of us long for. In 2008, Forrest deployed to Iraq and witnessed first hand an incredible amount of suffering. This helped to awaken Forrest's heart to the dire need of care, compassion, and human kindness. Later, Forrest would go on to organize community events for homelessness, humanitarian crisis, healing through the arts and mindfulness practices. Forrest continues to strive toward a world of caring compassion for all.

I have spent the last 30 years working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples cultivating a treatment approach that aides in creating quick, long lasting, permanent change. This has led me down a path of studying the neurobiology of the brain and using treatment methods including Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Psycho-Neuro-Immunology and the Neuro-Psychology of the brain.
