I am a clinical psychologist and primarily work with people experiencing difficulties in the areas of anxiety, relationship concerns, family issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression and life transitions. While each client is different, I generally view the circumstances that bring an individual into therapy as often due to a combination of factors, such as current life stressors, biological influences, and the impact of family & other important relationships.

As a therapist who has experience in many areas within counseling, my hope is to always help the client know that they are accepted. Clients can know that they are safe and protected within our therapeutic alliance. I will make every effort to remain ethical and lead the client in a positive and effective journey that will benefit their life.

I support folx who're navigating complex interpersonal issues, recovering from distress and trauma, grieving, and/or experiencing unexplained somatic symptoms. My clients are typically seeking relief from symptoms, meaning from their experiences, and validating relationship. People who are comfortable with telehealth and ready to embrace the mind-body connection with something a little different (i.e, Somatic Experiencing) will likely match well with me.

I am a compassionate, person-centered therapist specializing in Emotion Focused Couple's Therapy (EFT), a highly effective approach helping couples achieve more trust, safety, security and closeness in their relationship. It is a very affirming model, with an active therapist guiding you and your partner as you learn new ways of relating to one another. I also use it for my clients in individual therapy. I am certified in alcohol and drug addiction.

Joseph Monczewski, MS, LPC, CAADC, CCS is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 30 years of experience. Areas of practice include the following: depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, drug & alcohol treatment-recovery, co-dependency, adult children issues, adjustment issues, bi-polar disorder, couples, marital. Counseling can occur in-person or through tele-therapy.
