My name is Stacy and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have advanced training in sex therapy from The University of Michigan's Sexual Health Certificate Program in Sex Therapy. My true passion is to assist couples and individuals in improving issues related to intimacy, sexuality, pleasure, and communication. I believe that a good sex life can occur within a loving and intimate relationship and these are important factors to living a satisfying life.

Life can be hard. I work with clients facing stress, adversity, loss of a loved one, confusion within a relationship, anger, communication breakdown or betrayal within a marriage, strains from the reality of parenting, confusion of life as a teen, feeling lost, facing divorce, balancing co-parenting, or "just" figuring out our place in the world. Gracious- we face a lot! Brene Brown has a wonderful quote that says "loving ourselves through the process of owning our stories is the bravest thing we will ever do." I agree but find that often, we aren't quite sure how to love ourselves. How do we own our story?

I believe that everyone has a unique story to tell and that we go through various seasons of our life. Some moments are joyous and meaningful, and others are unbearably painful and lonely. I am a therapist who values every “page of your book” or every “season,” and believe the more we understand who we are and where we come from, the easier it becomes to connect with our true self and begin to heal. My work is centered around overall health and wellness as well as providing solutions to help you achieve the best version of yourself.

Counseling can help identify causes of depression, anxiety and resolve other problem areas in your life. My approach to counseling is tailored to each client's specific needs and collaborative. Establishing the therapeutic alliance is key to helping you move through and change maladaptive thought processes and build your confidence in making sound choices. My counseling perspective is to respect each client's distinctive life journey and personal narrative.

Change is possible. As I have spent thousands of hours working with people with all kinds of struggles, I have seen it with my own eyes. For the past 20 years it has been my pleasure to help my clients rediscover hope and find solutions that work for them. As a Marriage & Family Therapist, I am trained to see the big picture and to help you find ways to get out of your 'stuck system'.

I have eighteen years experience as a therapist and love my career. My work as a professor and national public speaker also help me to be a competent therapist. I have over 25 years experience providing therapeutic counseling to all ages from 18-80 in specialties of depression, anxiety,life stress and relationship issues. I use a short term strength based model while incorporating several therapeutic techniques to help you achieve your goals.
