Hey there, I'm Jared. Thank you for taking the time to look at my statement page. If you are looking for a counselor that is empirically-focused, strength-based, directive, and easy to talk to, I might be the kind of counselor you're looking for. My approach to counseling is a scientific-model led, client collaborated, personal relationship focused. We meet, talk about what you want to talk about, and I will be there for positive support, processing, and to teach about symptoms and interventions. Traits of clients that thrive best with me are curiosity, willingness/ desire to grow, and willingness to try new things.
I provide diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment, consultation, and supervision. As a certified sex therapist much of my work involves supporting clients around their sexual and erotic wellness, among other common goals such as addressing: grief/sadness, anxiety/stress, life-event stress/ trauma, executive dysfunction/ADHD, and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapies
On average people wait 10 years after symptoms become present to seek mental health counseling. I don't think anyone should have to suffer that long or figure out big problems all alone.
