I am ready to help clients work through anything from anxiety and depression, to relationship and intimacy issues, to exploring sexuality and gender identity.
Shame, relationship conflict, trauma and intense emotion are significant parts of the human experience. All of these experiences can disrupt or make it extremely difficult for an individual to connect with themselves, have healthy relationships, meet their goals, or even make it through the day. These challenges can be isolating and can start to foster feelings of hopelessness, shame, and create barriers to reaching out for help. I encourage you to reach out anyway. Creating the life you want to live can start gently, with curiosity and compassion for yourself. I'll meet you there.

While I do take my work seriously and have a deep understanding psychopathology and sexuality, I also take therapy as a chance to develop a genuine, secure relationship with clients.
Every interaction in our lives creates our story. These stories can come from family experiences, media, marginalization, oppression, trauma, and much more. Over time, a collection of these may cause us to fall into depression, anxiety, trauma symptoms, out of control sexual behavior, or other mental health issues. In therapy, my goal is to provide a warm, genuine, and collaborative environment to understand the development of these stories and how we can change them.

I am a certified sex therapist and have completed the Sexual Health Program at the University of Michigan.
I specialize in women's sexual health, relationship issues, anxiety, job related stress, life transitions, and the impacts of trauma, injury, and illness. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership and my goal is to create a supportive environment of trust and acceptance. I practice an insight-oriented and psychodynamic approach, meaning that the past informs the present and can create unconscious patterns of thought and behavior. Once we have awareness of how our experiences impact our lives, healing can begin.

I specialize in the things society often shames or silences: sex, nonmonogamy, neurodivergent folx, witchy practices, and even the childhood trauma that can make family dinners…well, let's just say awkward.
You've always been different, but now "wtf" is turning into "what is this?" That feeling of confusion, maybe even a little bit of fear, is completely understandable. It sounds like you might be going through an awakening – be it mental, sexual, spiritual, or maybe a combination of all three. Big changes like these can be really unsettling, leaving you feeling lost and disconnected from yourself. I've been there, and I've helped many others navigate these kinds of experiences. It can feel isolating when you don't fit the mold, but what if that "different" feeling is actually pointing you towards something amazing?

Sex Therapy
Who is sex therapy for?
Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.
Why do people need sex therapy?
Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.
What happens in sex therapy?
People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.
What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?
Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
