We experience life transitions and periods of loss and grief throughout our lives. I am particularly interested helping you with the issues that we experience as we grow older and also in helping families cope with those issues that we face as our loved ones age. Caring for loved ones with aging disorders such as dementia can create chronic stress, anxiety, depression and burnout for even the most capable. You may be feeling unable to care for yourself, your own family and career. If you are feeling depleted and overwhelmed we can work collaboratively to discover a story of change, resilience, and hope.

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master's in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Rutgers University. My extensive training at the Kessler Institute focused on psychotherapy for adults and older adults with neurological conditions. As a clinician in the Statewide Clinical Outreach Program for the Elderly, I conducted on-site interventions for mental health crises. In my role as a Case Manager, I emphasized wellness and recovery for individuals with mental disorders.

Jennifer (Jenny) Cozzolino, LCSW, received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Monmouth University and has been practicing as a clinical social worker for over nine years. She has worked with children, families, couples, and seniors. Jenny has extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, and loss (grief counseling, relationship, independence, and/or loss of identity). Jenny also has an intense passion for working with families and or parents in helping develop strategies that will create a more balanced home life, allowing families to understand their dynamics in a nonjudgmental way.

I offer a cognitive-behavioral, client centered approach to counseling. Using a combination of therapies and approaches, I provide a nurturing, safe environment where clients can freely explore and express their thoughts and feelings and learn how to take control of them and their lives. Supportive Psychotherapy techniques lay the foundation for a successful experience toward a client's journey to self-awareness, insight, and healthy relationships with both the self and others. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and faiths and I welcome the opportunity to assist you in acheiving your goals.
