Beginning my career in 2012 has allowed me to build on a unique approach that includes providing empathy, genuineness, trust, and creating a safe space. My expertise includes working with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, substance use, LGBTQIA+ issues, trauma, crisis management, self-esteem, relationship issues, and family systems. Through the use of Person-Centered Approach, CBT, IFS, Play Therapy, and Trauma-focused therapy, I am here to help you find the balance you need.

Jeff is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in diverse levels of care and treatment settings. As a therapist Jeff provides a safe supportive space for individuals to process their thoughts and feelings. Jeff seeks to empower his clients, foster self-awareness so that they can accomplish their goals and live healthier lives. Jeff provides individualized therapy focusing on issue related to depression, anxiety, substance use, anger management, trauma and interpersonal conflict.

In understanding that individuals in pain or having a particular challenge in life may make only one attempt at reaching out for help, I strive to welcome and set at ease every one who contacts me. Most therapy patients are ordinary people that have hit a bump in the road of life and cannot get past it on their own. My commitment, through goal directed therapy, is to help those people return to their optimal level of coping with the sometimes mild, sometimes severe challenges that life brings their way and guide them back to a sense of well being.

Michael is a Trilingual (English, Portuguese, and Spanish) counselor who graduated from Montclair State University with a Masters in Community Mental Health Counseling. Michael comes to Family Psychiatry and Therapy after years of experience treating adults, children, and adolescents in hospital, home, and community settings.

Andrew Lerman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in NJ with experience working with adolescent and adult clients across various settings, including partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and private practice. Operating from the perspective that people are the experts of their own lives, Andrew supports clients to feel empowered.

I work with individuals and couples of all ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations, treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, eating disorders, couples in crisis, professional dilemmas, parenting issues and more. I also specialize in coping with pain, fatigue, insomnia, and chronic illness including chronic fatigue, autoimmune disease, and fibromyalgia.
