Therapy is also our newest and oldest path of protecting, nurturing, supporting and upholding all that is virtuous, positive, meritorious, innocent, ethical, benevolent and philanthropic in ourselves while learning to handle, manage, cope, organize, and select our purpose, meaning and priorities in life. Therapy teaches us the surivival skills that help us become efficacious and masterful in life. We establish, goals we wish to achieve, priorities we wish to establish, a clear plan of action, which evolves as we evolve, with the help of a trained professional who respects both our free will and our fate, our unique mission and our destiny.
I have been working in the clinical mental health field since 1981. During these years I have developed many short term brief paradigms, as well as, long term models of therapy.
I have worked in psychiatric, medical, community mental health, public and private practices, public and private agencies. I have worked with public and private schools and have a specialty working with Yeshivot in NJ and New York.
A unique part of my practice is my "chronological developmental model" for PTSD training , team building and treatment. I developed my paradigm for chronological developmental therapy for the treatment of all kinds of trauma coinciding with The Gulf War and utilized more recently for the World Trade Center and Project Liberty. I have been Director of Crisis Services, Training and Special Projects for JFS. Director of Guidance for Solomon Schechter High School and Middle School, Senior Clinican for JFS of Bergen County and Behavioral Consultant for the Directors of Medicine at Newark Beth
