My approach to therapy is to treat the whole person through a collaborative process. I am a firm believer in that everyone goes through "ups" and "downs" throughout life. I also believe that no matter how one may view a problem, how that person feels and how that person thinks is what is most important. I believe that problems and issues can be resolved, especially when one is invested in his/her treatment. I enjoy working with my clients to find solutions and assist in learning how to find happiness, enjoyment, and a sense of control. I find creative ways to engage with my clients throughout the therapeutic process.

My passion has always been working with children and families impacted by life changing health issues. An ideal patient is an individual who is recently diagnosed with a condition such as cancer or major health issues including life threatening conditions and chronic pain. I specialize in treating medical trauma, anxiety, depression as well as grief, loss, and bereavement.

As a clinician, I am passionate about working with children ages 2-11 through the power of child-centered play therapy to promote healing, strengthen development, and enhance family functioning. I also enjoy working with early adolescents ages 11-14 from a person-centered and solution focused approach to navigate social and emotional disruptions that coincide with development.

My personal philosophy and approach to counseling begins and ends with compassion and a willingness to enter into my clients’ experiences alongside them. I became active in this field because I have an authentic, listening heart that desires to see people live as whole, healthy, individuals. My interests include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, peer and family relationships. With a master’s degree in education and experience working in schools, I also provide academic, social, and emotional support. Treatment plans are created based on the individuals' needs and combine evidenced based practices with personal wellness.

We combine different therapeutic approaches based on client's presenting concerns, goals, and motivation, such as, cognitive-behavioral, brief therapy, mindfulness, client-centered, solution-focused therapy.

I am a licensed psychologist treating individuals across the lifespan with varying diagnoses. My primary area of speciality is in the diagnosis and treatment of children with ADHD. I provide individual and family therapy as well as parent consultation, support and education.

I currently serve clients from ages 10-100, with my primary focus being adolescents and adults. I am a mental health counselor as well as a licensed clinical addiction specialist, meaning I love working with both mental health disorders and addictions. When working with mental health, I serve those struggling with anxiety/depression, trauma/sexual abuse, bipolar I or II disorder, dissociative-identity disorder, grief, self-esteem concerns, identity matters, religious or spiritual factors, stress management, and those on the autism spectrum. My goals for my clients are to be able to increase their sense of self-worth and autonomy.

I typically see a diverse range of clients presenting with ADHD, anxiety, anger management, behavioral struggles, depression, emotional regulation, grief and loss, relationship issues, school-related issues, learning difficulties, and self-esteem struggles. Feeling accepted as you are, openly expressing what you are thinking and feeling, and exploring new strategies for managing thoughts and feelings are basic to the counseling process. I strive to create a counseling relationship centered around these goals and am honored to accompany clients on their pathway toward greater self-understanding and acceptance.

Danielle has dedicated her time to improving the mental health of persons of all ages (2 y.o. and up) and from all backgrounds. She has a passion for working with a wide range of emotional and behavioral disorders, and excels in treating complex childhood trauma. She also specializes in treating drug and alcohol addiction. Danielle believes in the power of advocacy and empathic listening as tools for change in the form of empowerment, self sufficiency, and self esteem. She combines evidenced based practices with creativity and holistic wellness, to create an environment conducive to meeting the unique needs of her clients.
