I work with people from the ages of 12 to 100! I specialize in trauma and use a solution focused approach. I am trained in EMDR and love seeing the small successes clients achieve. I also offer clinical supervision.

I take a collaborative approach where you determine your needs and we work together to address the issues that brought you to therapy while identifying strategies to assist in the healing process.

I work with adults 18+ and specialize in life transitions, anxiety, trauma and addiction, and have a particular interest in how our childhood experiences impact us as adults. Being able to trust someone with your secrets is key to developing a good therapeutic relationship. I believe that everyone is able to change if they are willing to do the work. I provide a caring, supportive and empowering environment in which to work on the healing process. I approach life from a strengths based perspective and believe in assuming positive intentions.

At Take Flight Counseling Services, we enjoy working with clients in the area of trauma, PTD, depression, anxiety, emotional and relationship issues. We work with adults and adolescence clients from diverse backgrounds. Personal experiences have helped us to understand how essential it is to work with all our clients from their frame of reference and to actively listen to each client's needs in the theraputic relationship.

I have experience with trauma, sever mental illness and life transitions. I work at my client's pace and follow the road they take in therapy. My approach is to give gentle guidance, educate, and creatively blend a holistic trauma-informed stance, which is the best success for healing. The creative process, through visual art and storytelling, opens up the unconscious mind, cleansing emotional pain while giving a common universal language. I explore with the client many curiosities of the human condition. Helping to connect the behaviors that motivate us to balance our individual strengths and inherit capacity for good social interest.

Holly holds a master's degree from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She welcomes working with adults, teens, couples, and families regarding relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, substance abuse, communication, addictive behaviors, aggression, GLBT issues, parenting and emotional dysregulation. As a group facilitator, Holly is both dynamic and engaging. She is trained in Brainspotting, EMDR, Gottman method, as as well as Aggression Replacement Training. Holly has also worked with Alzheimer's/Dementia, and family caregivers at the University of Minnesota and Fairview Hospital.

My clients often tell me that they appreciate my unique approach that is both pragmatic and compassionate.I work with adult individuals and couples. I treat depression, anxiety, and victims of sexual and/or emotional abuse. I tailor my approach to work with your concerns as well as your strengths. My work comes out of strengths-based theory, insight therapy, and a cognitive approach. I work with all kinds of couples. Gay or straight, I am here to help.
