Dr. Moseley is a Christian psychologist with nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health field with children, adolescents and adults. She has worked extensively with parents and children struggling with emotional and behavioral disorders and those with traumatic exposures. She treats PTSD, traumatic grief, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and ODD. Dr. Moseley specializes in Christian counseling, marriage & family therapy, (interracial couples, multiracial individuals, blended families, foster care/adoption) and individuals of Caribbean descent. She also works with issues around the transition to adulthood and career concerns.

I offer compassionate, heart-and-soul-centered, nonjudgmental, supportive, strengths-based therapy in the comfort of your own home via telehealth. I work with teens, kids, families, parents, individuals and couples. I am trained at Simmons College and Harvard Medical School. You deserve the BEST! I became a therapist because I LOVE PEOPLE and I want to support you becoming the person you always wanted to be. I am not adverse to walking through tough stuff and lingering issues from the past and present that need healing.

My approach to treatment is very client-centered - people enter treatment at various stages of readiness and I am here to meet you wherever you may be. I understand the nuances of beginning therapy, meeting a new therapist, setting goals, sharing personal information, and ironing out your biggest concerns - even when you feel unsure. My hope is to help each client unlock their sources of happiness and hope so they can confront whatever challenges they are facing - mood issues, anxiety, substance issues, family dynamic concerns, trauma, interpersonal relationship issues, school-related problems, self-harm, gender issues, etc.

Having someone you trust and who is totally dedicated to your best interest is often the exact thing you need to open yourself up to a new perspective or make an important change in your life. I try to utilize my range of life experiences and education, a fair amount of wisdom and an ability to see effective ways to handle problems and tough situations. Regardless of your circumstances, my full intention will be to create an honest and supportive environment to help you successfully deal with the challenges you face. Life can be extraordinarily challenging and finding a therapist that "fits" can be intimidating. I enjoy working with diverse clients from varied backgrounds. My passion is working with motivated clients to address trauma, anxiety, and various life transitions. I also enjoy working with teenagers navigating the road to adulthood. As a licensed mental health counselor who has been in the field for a number of years, I have worked with children, teenagers, adults of all ages, caregivers, couples and families in order to produce desirable outcomes in areas that have caused conflict or dissatisfaction in the past or currently. I am experienced in collaborating with my clients in identifying what the need is in each case, in order to take necessary steps to create positive change. I support clients who are experiencing high stress, are in crisis and have complex struggles and needs.

My goal is to guide you in understanding what interferes with living a fulfilling life. I believe change is possible, in spite of any circumstance, and I will support you through your journey of growth and self-discovery. As a therapist with extensive background working with trauma survivors and individuals of all ages, couples and families in crisis, I respect and understand both the challenges and lifelong benefits of having therapeutic alliance. My experience with the healing process has solidified the importance of consistent, genuine care, creating a space to pursue what it is you desire and find to be meaningful.

I earned a Bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Massachusetts, Lowell, in 1989. I obtained my Master's degree in mental health counseling form Suffolk University in 1993. I completed my certification in graduate studies in counseling at Lesley University in 2006.

Whether working with a family, individual, and/or couples, I believe in a relational process in which finding a therapist that is a "good fit" as the groundwork for a supportive, transformative process. I believe that every individual has the ability to examine their life's journey and own their story; all while strengthening self compassion and working to navigate who and how to be in relationships. This along with growing to know, understand and accept oneself. Stepping into the therapeutic process is the first movement towards self discovery and growth.

In life we all need hope, validation, just to know that today, "this too shall pass." I strive to connect with individuals with honesty, warmth, and empathy. When one makes that decision to seek emotional guidance, I understand the vulnerability and the bravery of that moment. While allowing one to take the time they need to reach their desires of the heart and/or identify what one desires through a space of compassion and mindfulness.

Accepting new clients for the group practice: Rooted Counseling Services! I am a Clinical Social Worker and the Founder of 'Rooted.' My specialty is within the family context, working with children, families, and parents. My focus when working with children and teens is to help them through the transitions they face with a relational approach and an empathetic ear, all while exploring helpful strategies. I specialize in supporting adolescents/teens and adults find ways to cope with trauma and loss, manage anxiety and depression, develop problem solving strategies and social skills, overcome substance abuse and low self-esteem, and manage family conflict. I am also able to help the individuals I work with to develop executive functioning and advocacy skills at school, home, and in the community. We will work together to gain an understanding of: why you are where you are at this time in your life, what you would like to change, and learn the tools needed in order to effectively make the changes and establish long and short term goals.

Regardless of the times, the circumstance or the individual, building a relationship with trust, value and efficacy matters. We also believe that this can look different for everyone. Given that, it is important that prior to finding the right therapeutic approach that meets your specific needs, we must first develop a mutual understanding and rapport with one another that feels supportive in moving forward.
