I like to work with people who are feeling stuck or lost in their lives and are desiring change. I also have specialties in working with people who have experienced trauma and couples who are having problems or are in a relationship crisis. Combining well-researched, evidence-based therapies with mindfulness techniques, I can help you regain your focus. I believe that each of us has within the wisdom that can put us back on the path to health. I see therapy as a unique opportunity to connect with the true self that knows what it needs to heal.
The importance of the mind-body connection influences all aspects of my therapy. Using EMDR the body memory helps access the traumatic experience so that it can be adaptively processed. In Emotion Focused Therapy, the couple's non-verbal messages reflect emotions that are perpetuating their negative cycles.
I also enjoy working with people who are in the midst of a life transition. In particular, empty-nesters, late bloomers and quarter-lifers. Whether you are in your fith+ decade or a newly graduated 20 something, I'd like to help you find your way down your new path.
