Nina Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 2 decades of experience as a mental health professional. She has performed her duties in the arena of psychosocial skill development and encouraging positive psychological advancement since 2000. Her client base ranged from persons 5 years of age to 86 who were seeking help with grief, losses, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, and other life-transitional concerns. Nina completed her Bachelor of Social Work at North Carolina A&T State University and her Master of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Reaching out for help is often the hardest part and each client is different in their own ways. My therapeutic approach is a collaborative process in which the client takes the driver's seat, as they know their life better than anyone else. Our own minds can sometimes be our worst enemies and add daily life stressors into the mix..life isn't always simple and easy. I want to help clients sort through the messiness of life and help them get back on track to their goals and dreams while encouraging positive self-growth, self-image, and self-esteem.

I bring extensive knowledge with over 15 years of experience, specializing in helping individuals navigate traumatic life experiences within child welfare and public health fields. I passionately believe in fostering connections and combating isolation to improve mental health outcomes. I value creating relationships based on honesty, accountability, and warmth using Functional Analytic Psychotherapy as a framework to assist clients in overcoming complex trauma and anxiety.
