My approach to psychotherapy is to create a safe space where you can explore and heal the difficult and painful issues that are showing up in your life. Together we will move beyond problem-solving into releasing the deeply held mistaken beliefs and core unresolved issues behind your symptoms. My body-centered and somatic approach allows me to work directly with your nervous system to address symptoms like anxiety, racing thoughts, and irrational fears as well as feeling stuck, depressed and unavailable or unresponsive to life and relationships.

Our practice is dedicated to the health, wellness, and collective liberation of all folks. Together we will work to help you figure out what’s getting in the way of living a meaningful, fulfilling and vibrant life. Our clinicians utilize a variety of different modalities and work with the nervous system to assist our clients in getting “unstuck” and offer support in recognizing old, outdated patterns that may be consciously or unconsciously holding you back. We believe that therapy is a deeply collaborative process, one that requires safety, trust, tenderness, and care.

I am Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in children, adolescent girls, Trans-kids, families and woman. I have been working with families on Chicago's North Shore and surrounding areas, for almost two decades. Although my training emphasized an Adlerian approach to therapy, I have a broad range of experience with many therapeutic modalities and am able to tailor my practice to the needs of you or your family. I believe in treating the "whole-person," which means a one-size-fits-all approach will not work.

I help men aged 18-35 who are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or lonely. If you’re turning to alcohol or drugs, work, or other unhealthy outlets to “take your mind off things,” you don't have to navigate this struggle alone. I support men to address the issues impacting school, work, or relationships, leading to improved mood, social connections, and goal achievement.

My primary goal for my clients is to achieve healing on the deepest level. As an Adlerian trained therapist, I utilize psychodynamic as well as alternative modalities to explore, transform and heal those perceptions and beliefs that may be negatively impacting their lives. Whether it's one on one, couples, or group therapy, I am actively participating, encouraging, and guiding my clients so they feel safe and supported to examine and process their deepest emotional wounds.

I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have focused my career on working with adolescents ,young adults, parents and families. Over the last 10 + years, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals and families in the North Shore. I work with clients to help them find a safe space to express, explore and make positive changes. Over the years I have learned that every individual and family is unique and need treatment to be flexible and supportive of their needs. With over 15 years of experience working with children and their families I bring a wealth of knowledge and resources to my work. My experience includes helping children improve communication and problem solving skills, cope with anxiety, and building confidence in relationships. The family work focus's on parenting and communication skills and strengthening relationships. In addition to individual and family therapy I have expertise in social skills groups for children 3-11 years old. I help children with no formal diagnosis who experience social and behavioral challenges as well as children with Asperger's, learning disabilities, ADHD, and Anxiety.

I began my professional career as a lawyer. Studying and practicing in the field of law helped me develop critical thinking skills and an understanding of how to navigate the practical challenges of life. However, working as a lawyer made me realize I wanted to help people on a more personal, emotional, and psychological level so they could be effective before they need a lawyer. So, at the age of 29, I quit my job as a family law attorney and went back to school to get a Ph.D. in Psychology. As a lifetime student, I am dedicated to learning. I want to learn more about you and help you get to where you want to be.

As a trauma informed therapist, I aim provide culturally sensitive and empowerment focused therapy when working with individuals, couples, and families. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Earlham College and Master of Arts in Counseling from Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I utilizes empathic listening and supportive techniques to help explore concerns and goals.
