My Ideal client is someone, child, adolescent, or adult, who is ready to make a change in their behaviors, thoughts, their life. This individual may be feeling anxious, or depressed, or tired of repeating the patterns that “get them into trouble”. This individual wants to learn how to manage their feelings or thoughts, process through their situations, while gaining skills to work through those situations, and learn to let things go. I find that the individuals (children and adults) ready for change “dive right into” my therapy toys/sand tray/art supplies so that they can begin processing their issues they way that they need to.

As a clinical psychologist, I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. Utilizing an eclectic approach, I work collaboratively to address the issues that have led my clients to seek help. I enjoy working with complex trauma, abuse, PTSD, adoption, attachment, general psychotherapy issues, stressful life events, relationship issues, bereavement, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, mood and anxiety issues, and most kid-related issues (ODD, adjustment issues, etc). I further have significant experience addressing gifted and talented related issues and am an EMDR-level II trained clinician.

I have many years of experience working with women, children and families through being a special needs preschool teacher, children's mental health treatment manager, adoption program coordinator, and public speaker. I received my master's degree in marriage and family therapy in 2009. Through my counseling practice I endeavor to help you establish a strong, healthy outlook on life whereby you can develop to your full potential. I am passionate about helping you and your family attain positive change.

I work with clients of all ages and specialize in working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a life threatening or terminal disease, their families, and caregivers. In addition, I work with infertile couples and those pursuing fertility treatment and/or adoption, as well as women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or post abortion grief. Grief and loss are experienced at many stages of life and are often at the root of the issues presented in counseling, such as anxiety and/or depression. I also specialize in grief/loss counseling and work with a myriad of other symptoms as well.

My primary theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and animal assisted therapy. However I also utilize theories such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Adlerian Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the use of books, Art Therapy, sand Tray Therapy, Play therapy and attachment therapy. I'm certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Tandice has knowledge and experience working with children and families struggling with sibling and parent conflict issues. Anxiety disorders, depression disorders, PTSD, Bi-Polar, Domestic Violence, Relationship issues, self-esteem and identity issues are also areas of expertise.

Hi! I'm Katie Trent, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience providing counseling, support, and resources to equip and encourage strong, faith-filled families. I provide Christian counseling to children, teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of struggles, including but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional & behavioral struggles, marital and pre-marital counseling, and family counseling. I utilize an eclectic approach to best meet my client's unique needs with a solution-focus and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy approach.

I am currently taking new Clients. I believe that we are far more than what we present to others. Along the journey, we sometimes lose touch with our authentic self. This loss reveals itself in many ways: Dissatisfaction in relationships, Questions about career/vocation, Feelings of depression/anxiety, eating too much or too little, Lack of confidence, Uncertainty about life choices, Physical/emotional weariness, Spiritual confusion and Disillusionment. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University and additional intensive Masters Study in Human Relationships. Kara is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Promotions and went on to receive a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in EMDR Therapy and Play Therapy.

I am a counselor with many years of overseas and cross-cultural experience, which has highlighted for me the strengths and challenges common to all people, no matter where we are from or now call home. Rocky transitions of all kinds, struggles with identity and unwanted behaviors, relationship and parenting issues, many types of loss and grief-are all areas I have experience in. I work with those who are interested in resolving past painful experiences, addressing present difficulties, and building towards a healthier future for themselves and those important to them.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I’ve worked with couples, families, children and adolescents, and groups. While I help my clients address the issue(s) they present when coming into therapy, I also help them learn new skills and ways of interacting with their environment that will help them resolve, and even avoid problem situations in their future. With over 35 years experience, I specialize in medication management. After a complete evaluation, we will create a treatment plan just for you that addresses your mental health needs. My services include evaluation, medication management and brief counseling in a 30 minute session. If you need longer, more intensive therapy or already have a counselor and just need the medication component, I will refer or work together with your current counselor to get you what you need. Telepsych available which we will be utilizing until it is safe and most likely ongoing.
