Hi, I am Douglas Kainoa Dang, a Marriage and Family Therapist from Hawaii. I’m client-centered and solution-focused on helping you achieve your life goals. I use solution-focused, client-centered, strategic family therapy, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy to help find solutions. I enjoy working with teens and adults. Typically, I am there to support issues with anxiety, adjustment issues, and forms of depression. I like to create a warm and authentic environment for my clients to promote a safe space to truly be themselves.
I’ve had different trials and tribulations that made me shift from a business focus to a psychology focus. Seeing others better themselves and even helping them just became a calling for me. Goal setting is client-focused; however we can partner to help fine-tune the goals and direction for therapy.
This will be a get-to-know-you and get-to-know-me. I believe in finding that fit and balance in the first session to set the foundation.
