My philosophy of therapy is: meet the client where they are at. I have been a trauma therapist for over 22 years with experience in the field. I work with PTSD and dissociative disorders. I also treat mood disorders and autism spectrum disorders. A professor once told me "if you do not love your clients, get out of the business". I believe that and I hold true to that statement.

Hi! My name is Dr. Ellen Marshall. I can help you with a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, aging, domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stress/anxiety management, emergency services personnel issues (I'm former PO), and other difficulties that may be impeding your happiness and peace of mind. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches including trauma-focused EMDR. My approach to counseling is goal-focused and active. I'm currently being supervised by a licensed psychologist while I complete my clinical hours.

At Mental Edge Counseling, LLC., we offer a multitude of services under the heading of out-patient mental health. We address the specific needs of each client based on their individual treatment plans. Once an individual or family has decided to attend therapy an intake session will be scheduled, which will take place at our office. This is when all the information will be exchanged and paperwork will be completed, if not already done.
