So when working to help children with anxiety, ODD, DMDD, CD, and IED, I use Parent Management Training (PMT), Cognitive Behavioral Training (CBT), and Problem-Solving Skills Training (PSST). For 7-years at Yale University and for the past 10 years through my clinic, I have trained hundreds of professionals and parents from around the world in these treatments via telehealth and in-person sessions.

Welcome! I am specialize in helping children, preteens, teens and families facing a range of challenges. I treat clients with anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, oppositional defiance disorder, family conflict/divorce, ADHD, behavioral &/or emotional disturbances, &/or trauma and traumatic grief. I support caregivers and families in conjunction with my work with children. My approach is grounded in relationship/based, developmental play therapy working w/ each child’s unique individual differences and/or sensory needs. My name is Augusta Mattar Colodette and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their families. My interventions are strength-based and individualized to meet your specific needs. I look at both the current challenges an individual may be facing as well as the underlying issues that may be contributing to these challenges. The focus is on strengths to make healthy decisions, to develop the solutions needed to move forward and increase self-awareness. I use creative activities that may help children and adolescents to process through their thoughts and emotions.

I also have experience with working with clients with trauma (of all kinds) and I am in the process of becoming Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) certified. y focus is primarily with children and adolescents who have struggles with anger, depression and anxiety. As a trilingual clinician, I have seen how hard it is for people to get treatment and I focus my services on primarily Spanish or Portuguese speaking clients.
