I have experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties and problems, including trauma symptoms, parenting issues and concerns, depression and anxiety symptoms, anger issues, low self-esteem and relationship problems. My top priority is to make our therapeutic relationship client-centered and collaborative, which means that we will work together to determine what change, growth, and healing would be most personally meaningful to you.
I believe that a therapist’s role is not to dictate or prescribe solutions, but to engage you in a shared process where together we learn about the concerns leading you to seek help. To this end, my approach is warm, genuine and grounded in an acceptance and welcoming of you and your story, with all of its nuances and complexities.
Being in therapy means confronting discomfort. Discovering truths about yourself and your story that are now outside of your awareness takes vulnerability and persistence. It also allows you to live more fully as yourself without conflict. If you think I could be a good fit to help support you through this process, please reach out.
