I place great emphasis on the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I work to foster a safe and non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel understood and fully supported. I enjoy working collaboratively with patients and coordinating treatment efforts with complimentary mental health and medical professionals to help patients achieve therapeutic goals and an enhanced quality of life.

I work with older adolescents and adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including those who are struggling with anxiety, mood, stress, grief and life transitions. I am also uniquely trained as a health psychologist and have worked with individuals coping with a host of medical issues including women's issues, cancer, HIV, irritable bowel disease, diabetes, chronic pain and burn injury. Additionally, I often work with caregivers and patient's families. When appropriate and with permission, I will collaborate with one's treatment team (physicians, psychiatrists and specialists) to provide comprehensive care.

I've worked in many different settings with individuals and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression/anxiety, stress, family problems, trauma/abuse, addictions of all kinds, relationships/parenting, and more. DONALD LEE, earned his B.A. from Brandeis University. He earned his M.A., M.Ed., and Ed.D. in counseling psychology from Columbia University. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. He provides individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as, providing marital and family therapy. He treats individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance/alcohol abuse, and adjustment issues. Dr. Lee has taught courses in individual therapy, group counseling, and racial-cultural counseling at the graduate level. His clinical experiences have involved work with the chronically mentally ill, victims of trauma, and has consulted at agencies working with victims of domestic violence.

I am a psychotherapist in private practice in the Turtle Creek area of Dallas. Currently during the COVID crisis I am doing video therapy. I've been working with a broad client base in the mental health field since 1991. Therapy is a collaboration between the client and therapist, and is about facilitating the desired change for the client. I have a laid back approach in a safe non-judgmental therapeutic setting. My job is to ask the right questions to illicit insight and change. I'm also known to use humor in a therapeutic manner to help ease the process.
