I am a psychotherapist in private practice in the Turtle Creek area of Dallas. Currently during the COVID crisis I am doing video therapy. I've been working with a broad client base in the mental health field since 1991. Therapy is a collaboration between the client and therapist, and is about facilitating the desired change for the client. I have a laid back approach in a safe non-judgmental therapeutic setting. My job is to ask the right questions to illicit insight and change. I'm also known to use humor in a therapeutic manner to help ease the process.
Over the years I have worked with clients with relationship conflicts, family issues, mood disorders, addictions, eating disorders, sexual issues, chronic illness, and job related stress. I work well with clients who are functioning in most areas of their lives, but in pain about a particular issue and need feedback, insight, and guidance.
I participate in a therapist group with the goal of finding support and collaboration. I establish clear boundaries with clients and take my counselor ethics to heart. I strive to have a good working rapport with clients to build trust and safety in the therapeutic environment. Starting to work in Video Therapy for remote clients.
